Gardone – Lispi

An innovative, simple system in a contemporary idiom. Aimed to create multiple configurations on the theme of the bed.

Gardone is a versatile furniture piece, designed to vary through 32 different models, thanks to the possible combinations between a standard corner foot, vertical posts and horizontal tubes of different heights and dimensions: traditional bed, four- poster, single or double bed. All models in which the headboard can – by choice – be upholstered, made of iron or laminate.

Mario Scairato

Born in Paestum in 1989, he lives and works in Milan, where he deals with furniture and product design and art direction.
Classical architecture, the myth and natural heritage of his homeland, have been a constant source of inspiration for his work. In it he researches and explores the expressive forms of design with an innovative and contemporary approach.
His design is notable for its vigorous graphic appeal, the immediacy of its forms and its unerring use of colour.
Designs by him have been exhibited at the Milan Triennale, ADI Design Museum, Rossana Orlandi Gallery, Casa do Design Matosinhos, and Design Museum Holon.
He has designed products for numerous Italian names, including Abet Laminati, Alessi, Bulgari, Dnd, Internoitaliano, Lispi, Lithea, Moleskine and Tenuta Vannulo.
His art direction for the Lispi four-poster bed brand was selected for the ADI Design Index 2024.

The shape of the bed is characterised by the lines of the round-section steel tubes that curve at the corners to frame the mattress.

Its “dry” assembly highlights the precision and sophisticated processing conducted by the Lispi forge.
The Gardone feet and posts are enriched by round and turned terminals in iron.
