Velario owes its name to the ancient awning that, in Roman times, shielded theatres and amphitheatres from the sun.

The bed profile reinterprets the ancient technique of forged iron with clean and contemporary forms, while its light textile covering recalls the aesthetics of sails. The uprights of the structure, circular in section, feature round eyelets at the top that allow for the attachment of the linen cloth, whose natural tone highlights a subtle geometric print. The headboard, entirely removable, is upholstered and covered with a knitted fabric. The bed is crafted from 30 millimetres solid round iron, hand-wrought and forged, then left in its pure state. The fabric is authentic undyed linen, with a digital print on the surface in a rust-coloured tone.
